Factors that could change this would be obstruction to the air path into or out of the fan. Mechanically pull and push will work the same in a non moving vehicle. Stand alone, off of the car, the fans push and pull the same cfm, mounted to the car they will have the exact same surface exposure to the radiator face of the radiator, the area of blockage face and back of the radiator is the same as caused by the fan body.
I use a Spal 16" pusher, 30 amp fan, an aluminum radiator, no shroud on a 351W, I had to raise my stat to keep it warmer in the fall, engine never gets over 180, in some cases you will have a clearance issue that requires a front mount pusher fan.
